Chandra Johnson-Burns: “Milwaukee does not seem any safer. The types of crimes have changed, but not necessarily the rate of them. People are still being victimized.”

Dwight Malone: “No. I do not feel the city is safer than (in) the past. We are still dealing with low employment, useless drug rehab programs and nothing to occupy our youth in our community.”

Felmers O. Chaney: “No. I have been around since 1941 and I see some of the same crimes, some of the same problems and just as many, if not more, Blacks going to jail. I can’t seen any change in the crimes since the new Chief’s arrival.”
