Brewers Community Foundation/Koos for Kids Coat Giveaway
Students at Hayes and Parkview schools are a little warmer today thanks to the generosity of Brewers Community Foundation and the Koos for Kids charity. UEDA’s 10th Annual Community Development Summit
This year’s summit hosted by the Urban Economic Development Association (UEDA) will focus on “Food For Thought: New Recipes for Job Growth”. “Join participants throughout southeastern Wisconsin to discuss and learn how the regional food economy can serve as a driver for economic growth and job creation.” The summit will be held Tuesday, November 29th from 8:00am – 3:00pm. The African American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) is excited to invited the community to a one night only community viewing of “Sole of a Hustla” followed by a frank discussion around local solutions.
AACC to show documentary, ‘Sole of a Hustla’
The AACC is proud to bring to Milwaukee a unique view into the lives of a group of black entrepreneurs from Memphis, Tennessee who start Game Time Athletics, an athletic shoe and apparel company. It’s a gripping real life story.
Follow the men from the streets of Memphis, as they connect with a venture capitalist and make their way to mainland China.
