He's Still the King!

Though Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants is now the all-time home run leader in Major League Baseball, fans still stood and cheered the previous record holder, the legendary Hank "The Hammer" Aaron (center) as he waved to the throng at Miller Park during ceremonies honoring the World Champion 1957 Milwaukee Braves team before the start of the game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Hank held the record of 755 home runs, far outdistancing Babe Ruth’s 714. Hattie Daniels-Rush picked to be director of communications by County Executive Walker

 County Executive Scott Walker recently appointed Hattie Daniels-Rush as his Director of Community Relations.

Daniels-Rush has a Bachelor of Science degree in education, a Master of Science degree in social work, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Trinity University. She is highly active in her service to her church, the community, and nation through various volunteer activities and professional duties. Read more

A new place to get fit opens!

The owners, staff and members of Curves Fitness Center for Women recently celebrated the grand opening of the new fitness facility at 5324 West Burleigh Street. The new owners are Sherman Park Residents. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the new Curves and receive free figure analysis and took advantage of membership specials and door prizes.
