Residents take tour of houses during Third Annual Parade of Homes

Alderman Willie Wade and his son greet tour members as they visit the home of Ms. Barbara McGee on North 20th Street.

Common Council President Willie Hines addresses the group of tour participants prior to the trolley tour.

Wes Landry responds to Alderman Hines about which of two trolleys he will lead around the neighborhood between 20th and 27th Streets.

The third annual Parade of Homes was recently held, providing residents with a little "open house" experience that showcased five area homes currently being rehabilitated in conjunction with the Dominican Center for Women, which sponsored the event.

The tour began at the Dominican Center, 2470 West Locust Street. Common Council President Willie Hines addressed the group of about 55 people and congratulated the center and the neighborhood residents for their success in making many residents homeowners. (Photos by Peter Skiba)
