Africans on the Move to host annual African Liberation Day Celebration May 26
May 17, 2012 // 0 CommentsAfricans on the Move will hold its annual African Liberation Day Celebration Saturday, May 26, at the Wisconsin African American Women’s Center, 3020 W. Vliet St. The event starts at 12 noon.
The theme this year is: “Hands Off Africa!” The celebration will commemorate the murder of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on April 27, 1972.
There will be a video presentation, statements of solidarity, cultural presentations and an African Marketplace. There will also be a children’s corner for the “Watotos.”
