Black men show King male youth it takes a village
March 4, 2013 // 0 CommentsDr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School’s School Governance Council recently held its 19th African American Male Teach-In, the theme of which was, “It Takes A Village.” Black men from various occupations were on hand to encourage the male students at King to stay in school and be the best they can be. The teach-in symbolizes the men’s and community’s commitment to the collective educational and leadership development of the school’s youth. (photo by Yvonne Kemp)
