On Wednesday, Whitney Houston’s (pictured) daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown (pictured), lost control of her car, careened off the road, went down an embankment, and hit some trees along the way, police told TMZ. The vehicle wound up on a park jogging and biking trail.“We think speed was a contributing factor,” George Gordon, a spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety in Georgia said. “We determined she lost control of the vehicle while going around a curve. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor,” he told the New York Daily News.
Reportedly, a passerby witnessed the accident and immediately summoned police who found the 19-year-old reality star of Lifetime’s “The Houstons: On Our Own” standing outside of her late-model black Chevy Camaro surveying what happened.
Fortunately for Brown, no one else was injured; according to police, the trail where Brown’s vehicle landed on could have had joggers or bikers on it at the time of the accident.
Brown was cited by police for “failure to maintain lane” and has to appear in court.
Since her iconic mother, Houston, passed away earlier this year, Brown has been in a few fender benders. The young sole beneficiary of her mother’s estate, which has been placed in trust until she turns 21, took to her Twitter account to thank her personal angel, her mom, for saving her.
