Boys & Girls Clubs Teens Presented with Argosy Citizenship Awards
August 27, 2012 // Comments OffThe Argosy Citizenship Awards are sponsored by the Argosy Foundation and given annually to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee members who desire to positively impact their community through service projects. Each winner will receive $1,000: $500 to execute the project and $500 to spend on his or her education. This year’s Argosy Citizenship Award winners proposed creative community service projects to address a range of issues from neighborhood recycling to “cutting” or self-harming. This year’s winners are (left to right): Symone Hudson, Townsend Street School Boys & Girls Club; DeQuan Slocum, Daniels-Mardak Boys & Girls Club; Nicole Rodriguez, Mitchell Integrated Arts School Boys & Girls Club; Angelica Matias, Don & Sallie Davis Boys & Girls Club; Dejon Kirk, Pieper-Hilllside Boys & Girls Club; and Corin Odom, Augusta M. LaVarnway Boys & Girls Club.
