Christ the King holds weeklong celebration
July 31, 2010 // 0 CommentsThe photos represent different clerics who spoke during the weeklong 25th anniversary celebration at Christ the King, which was founded by Pastor John and Marilynn McVicker. The photos are: Rev. John Patterson, pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He is the son of noted local religious leaders Rev. Genora and Zenobia Patterson and vice president of the Wisconsin Baptist Congress of Christian Education. At the end of his sermon, Rev. Patterson asked Rev. McVicker to become his personal pastor. Rev. Arthur Jackson, II of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Carol City, Miami Gardens, Florida was also a pre-founders Day message provider. Dr. Fred L. Crouther, pastor of New Covenant Baptist Church, Milwaukee, provided the Founder’s Day service. Rev. Crouther is Rev. McVicker’s personal pastor. The month long activities concluded with a Founder’s Day dinner at the Domes. (Holt photos)
