Churches Offering Rides to Get Voter ID Cards

St. Mark A.M.E., Metropolitan Missionary Baptist and New Covenant Missionary Baptist are joining forces to make sure that every eligible voter can get the proper identification needed to vote in the upcoming elections. Citizens must have proof of date and birth, identity, Wisconsin residency, and U.S citizenship. The rides will be given on Tuesday November 8th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. The churches will be providing free transportation to the Department of Motor Vehicles office for individuals who want to obtain their voter identification card. To reserve a ride, call (414) 562-8030 before 11:30 a.m. on Monday November 7th, 2011.
