Coggs goes to White House to discuss issues facing Black America

State Representative Elizabeth Coggs participated Wednesday in a White House conference focusing on discussing and creating policies impacting Black America.
The by invitation only conference, Called the “Policy in Action Conference: A White House Discussion on Domestic Issues Facing the African American Community,” included break-out sessions in which Coggs and other invitees explored issues pertinent to Black America such as economic development, job creation and training, anti-poverty strategies, prevention and health disparities (First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative) and justice, re-entry and prevention.
