Mitchell, Jr. and his wife Clarene pose with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and his wife Kris Barrett during the reception for the 27th Annual Black and White Ball presented by the Milwaukee Urban League. The annual pre-summer event is the most anticipated event in the city drawing thousands of individuals representing business, community, government and community based organizations. The event was held at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N. Fourth Street. More than 900 individuals attended the ball, which raises money for the League’s education, employment, economic development and entrepreneurship programs and asks its guests to wear black and/or white formal attire to help the event live up to its name. This year’s featured entertainment was female R&B vocal group, En Vogue. (Photo by Yvonne Kemp)
