Concerned citizens will join community leaders in converging on Madison, Wisconsin’s state capitol, to protest the inaugural of Governor-elect Scott Walker on Monday, January 3, 2011
December 28, 2010 // 0 CommentsThe protest is in response to Walker’s rejection of federal dollars earmarked for the construction of a high-speed rail system that would have meant 13,000 jobs for Wisconsin citizens—especially those living in Milwaukee.
Buses are scheduled to leave Milwaukee for Madison January 3 at 6:30 a.m. at the large parking lot from Talgo Manufacturing, located at North 27th Street and Townsend Avenue.
Lunch will be provided and the trip is free. Protestors will return to Milwaukee by 4 p.m. To RSVP for the trip, call 414-207-8165.
