Annual opportunity for Coalition of Photographic Arts members as well as photographers in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa to exhibit their work.
This Year’s Juror: Catherine Edelman, Catherine Edelman Gallery, Chicago, Illinois. Catherine Edelman opened her Chicago gallery 24 years ago after completing her MFA in Photography at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Since its founding in 1987, the gallery quickly established itself as one of the leading galleries in the Midwest devoted to the exhibition of prominent contemporary photographers alongside local, new & young talent, showcasing a broad range of subject matter. The gallery exhibits in major art fairs throughout the country and is widely respected as a leader, educator and expert in the field of photography.

A portfolio of 28 prints produced in Oaxaca under the direction of Juan Alcázar. The theme of the portfolio is focused on endangered animals in the region of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Morgan Craig, a painter from Philadelphia, PA and Mark Slankard, a photographer from Rocky River, Ohio, will be taking a look at urban environments from the perspective of growth and decay.

With a variety of talented members exhibiting their work in an array of mediums, styles and compositions, this dynamic showing of local and regional artists is sure to create an environment of juxtapositions and kinships. Featuring the work of current WPCA members, this salon-style exhibition takes a broad look at what is being produced in the contemporary Milwaukee and regional art scenes. For years WPCA has hosted its Annual Members Show in gratitude of those who have sustained the organization and as an opportunity for emerging and established artists from the area to converge, share ideas and generate dialogue.
20th Annual Dia de los Muertos Exhibition
October 19 – November 17, 2012
Opening Reception: friday, October 19th from 5 – 9 pm
Local artists create ofrendas (altars) dedicated to the deceased in this traditional Mexican celebration. Informational tours are available during the course of this exhibition.
CoPA’s 6th Annual Midwest Juried Exhibition

CoPA’s Annual Midwest Juried Exhibition draws artists from Wisconsin, Illinois ,Michigan and Minnesota. The show offers members of CoPA the opportunity to exhibit their work and in addition, gives viewers an opportunity to experience contemporary work by emerging and established regional photographers. Each year a new, established photographer is invited to jury this show.
