Doin’ a little HOLLA-RIN’ on the J-O-B!

  The "Milwaukee Community Journal" launched a new monthly series in the Wednesday, January 31 edition of the newspaper called, "In My Shoes." The series was created by I-Witness columnist Barbara White who will do various jobs throughout Milwaukee to highlight different career opportunities and businesses that are in the city and Black community.

The series will also reveal what type of training and/or education is needed and how and where to attain it. There will also be "how-to" tips to make the job search and work place easier to navigate. Pictures above show White at her first job for the series, the McDonald’s restaurant at 60th and Silver Spring Drive.

Be sure to read her story on her experience in the January 31 edition on "flipping burgers" and greeting customers, many of whom were probably her loyal readers.
