Eastern Star chapter to celebrate 116th anniversary

The Princess Ellah, Chapter #1, of the Order of the Eastern Star, a
Masonic related fraternity of women and men, will hold its 116th
anniversary celebration Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Four Points
Sheraton Hotel, located at 8900 N. Kildeer Court, Brown Deer,
Wisconsin, starting at 6 p.m.
The theme of the event is “Women and Men of Excellence.” The keynote
speaker for the evening will be Thelma Sias, vice president of Local
Affairs for WE Energies Corp. The Princess Ellah #1 is the oldest
African American body of the Order of the Eastern Star in Wisconsin.
The Order has received numerous proclamations and observations from
Governor Scott Walker to the White House, in observation of this
historical milestone.
