Pearls Partners with Local Boutiques
Donations to help Milwaukee’s at-risk teenage girls
PEARLS for Teen Girls recently announced a new promotion to help raise awareness and donations for the organization. A variety of local boutiques will be partnering with PEARLS on this month-long promotion.
Participating boutiques will be inserting small informative donation cards into shopping bags asking the question, "Remember the Woman Who Inspired You?" These boutiques have also been asked to donate a percentage of their specialty sales to PEARLS for Teen Girls as well as promote the organization via in-store promotion.
A new advertising campaign for PEARLS titled "Remember When" will coincide with this promotion to help increase awareness and generate donations for PEARLS’ girls. The promotion is intended to show the Milwaukee community how important it is to help our young girls grow into strong, successful women.
PEARLS For Teen Girls is an organization that focuses on helping local, at-risk teenage girls face the challenges of poverty, envision their personal power and potential, take meaningful action and direct the course of their own lives.
PEARLS for Teen Girls programs are girls-only, safe-space gatherings that meet once or twice weekly. The programs are offered in partnership with schools and established youth-serving organizations in some of Milwaukee’s most economically and socially challenged areas.
Currently, PEARLS is offered at Lincoln Middle School, Fitzsmonds Boys and Girls Club, Northside YMCA, Milwaukee Academy of Science, Heartlove Place, Washington High School, St. Joan Antida High School, Academy of Learning and Leadership, Notre Dame Middle School, Business and Economics Academy of Milwaukee, Holton Street YMCA, Keefe Avenue School and Townsend Middle School. Sessions are guided by highly trained adult and teen program facilitators using PEARLS’ custom curriculum. For more information about PEARLS for Teen Girls, visit www.PearlsForTeenGirls.com.
