Family Time

Milwaukee Public Museum mixes free fingerprinting with family fun on April 9-14
The Milwaukee Public Museum will provide parents with a chance to mix child-safety awareness and fun during the week of Monday, April 9, through Saturday, April 14, by hosting representatives from the Child Protection Education of America (CPEA) agency at a booth in its main concourse.
Access to the concourse does not require paid admission to the museum.
CPEA representatives will be available from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. each day to take children’s fingerprints as part of their "ID ME NOW" program, and to create digital fingerprint scans and photographs for parents to keep on hand in case of an emergency.
They will also be selling safety items recommended for use by law enforcement, such as DNA kits, Kids ID cards and Emergency Medical ID cards. After fingerprinting, families can add to the fun of messy fingers by attending an IMAX show or learning about Milwaukee’s most famous gorilla and all things ape-related in the special exhibit Samson Remembered.
