Milwaukee activist Ieshuh Griffin, who tried unsuccessfully to be identified on the Nov.2 election ballot for the 10th Assembly District race as “NOT the whiteman’s b—,” announced Tuesday her candidacy for Milwaukee County Executive.
Griffin joins a growing list of individuals which includes current and former county political figures, businessmen and activists who have announced or are considering a candidacy for the office once held by former Milwaukee County Executive and Governor-Elect Scott Walker, who will assume the state’s highest office January 3, 2011.
Griffin ran and lost to former Milwaukee County Supervisor and noted political figure Elizabeth Coggs, who will succeed retiring state legislator Annette Polly Williams.
