Get ready to walk the red carpet for the 35th Anniversary Gala

It will be a night to remember as guests of the M C J’s ” Academy of Legends Gala arrive for the newspaper’s 35th Anniversary celebration, Saturday, August 6th, 2011 at the Italian Conference Center, 613, E. Chicago Avenue.

Over 40 community-thought leaders who made the Final Four in the chu categories of Law, Elected Officials, Social and Civic Services, Religion; Education; Business; Arts and Music; Legacy Builders; Medicine and Media will be celebrated for their contributions to the community. Ten, top voter-getters in each category, will be named to the prestigious 2011 Academy of Legends. And, students who make the Dean’s lists in their colleges and universities will receive academic stipends of $ 2500 for their 2011-2012 school year.

Wearing beautiful dresses, compliments of the Boston Store team, models show the attire they plan to wear on the Red Carpet as photographers flash and people watching becomes part of the evening’s experience.
