HAAT to honor Black teachers Nov. 13 at Serb Hall
November 11, 2010 // 0 CommentsThirteen former African American teacher will be honored at the fifth luncheon sponsored by the Historic African American Teachers (HAAT) of MPS Saturday, Nov. 13 at Serb Hall, 5101 W. Oklahoma Ave., starting at 11 a.m. The teachers to be honored are:
Elcenda Nord, Lizzie Sims, Geraldine Fowlkes, Elzola Stanely, Anne Cunningham, Shellie Johnson, Ira J. Henry, John Outlaw, Alicia Bishop, Reetha Simmons, Mary Artis, Francis Jefferson and Arnold Mitchell.
Tickets for the HAAT event are $26. For more information, call HAAT of MPS at 551-2107.
