Head Start students start new year
September 15, 2012 // Comments OffMore than 3,000 preschool students are back in class as the new school year has begun.
The Head Start Program coordinated by the Social Development Commission has welcomed back children to sites across Milwaukee County. The three to five year old children are attending class where they will receive academic and social skill preparation, health and dental screenings, and parental involvement.
At SDC’s Head Start- West Allis site, children spent their first day back in the classroom involved in a variety of activities including art projects, reading and writing, puzzle solving, and free play.
