Blues maestro Darnell Kimble passes

Our condolences go out to the family of Blues Maestro Darnell Kimble who passed last week.

One thing Kimble knew was the blues.

He called himself the “Bedroom Doctor”. I don’t know about all that but through his music he made you feel like he was the “Doctor” and could heal all your aches and pain. Holla!

I loved his music. Many of the radio jocks played his music often, especially Phil Anderson and Ernie Gee of WMCS 1290.

Kimble was one of Milwaukee’s own. He played all over the city and blues lovers loved him.

Not only was Kimble a blues crooner, he was also a good lyric writer.

While I loved the “Bedroom Doctor,” he recently released a new CD with some really nice cuts on it. Kimble ranked with some of the best blues singers around the world.

His style and voice will truly be missed in the world of Blues.
