I'm hopeful that Mr. Payne's appointment will usher in a new successful era for the Brewers.  I am also hopeful he will be given the authority to perform the job.  I hope the fact he is Black will diminish and he will be treated as a professional.

Brenda Williams : They will give Mr. Payne whatever authority he needs and we as Black Milwaukeeans are expecting them to give to give him the authority to run the Brewers orginization.  I believe the Brewers should trust him to do the job."
