February 28, 2013 // 0 CommentsThe Social Development Commission has moved ahead in transitioning to new agency leadership. Hannah Dugan was introduced at the February SDC Board meeting as the new Interim CEO
Ms. Dugan will take the leadership position at SDC on March 4. She was recently tabbed by the Board to lead the anti-poverty organization. At the Board meeting, her hiring was officially announced and Commissioners extended a warm welcome, encouraging her to call on them for any help needed in moving the agency forward.
She voiced her appreciation for the opportunity to join SDC to help it work through a time of challenge for all non-profits. She told the Board she looked forward to working with them and staff in allowing SDC to continue to provide vital services to the low-income community.
Ms. Dugan comes to the agency with a background in the non-profit sector. She has worked as a poverty lawyer and administrator at Legal Action of Wisconsin and Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee. She was also hired in 2006 as Interim Executive Director of Catholic Charities where she helped revitalize that agency during a time of severe challenges. She will serve as Interim CEO at the Social Development Commission for up to a year while the search for a permanent CEO takes place.
