Remembering Bronzeville

Milwaukee County Supervisor Elizabeth Coggs-Jones talks about her family’s and relatives experiences living, working and growing up in the Bronzeville section of the city during a community gathering at Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God In Christ complex. Several speakers, including former MPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Fuller and community activist Ruben Harpole, talked about growing up in Bronzeville and their families’ involvement in the area, which once included nightclubs and businesses, making it the social and economic hub of Black Milwaukee.
