The Story(ies) That Caught My I...

Jeremiah Wright

Wal-Mart and other major chains are limiting how many dry staples like rice, corn meal, etc., shoppers can buy.
We haven’t heard of food rationing since the depression. Nobody wants to tell us if we are in a depression or not.
But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that something is very wrong.
So I advise all mothers to go stock up on rice, flour, oatmeal, grits, powdered milk and other dry staples.
Even if we don’t know we’re in a depression with gas prices continuing to climb. Trucks may start cutting back their runs, so let’s get prepared.
Hey, President Bush...
Poor people and disabled people want to know why they didn’t get a stimulus check! Aren’t they citizens too?
While they may not file taxes, they pay plenty of taxes like everybody else, such as on gas. They are taxed when they go shopping, when they eat out, when they pay the gas, electric, phone and cable bills.
They are taxed to death! So why didn’t they get a check? It’s a clear case of discrimination. Aren’t the poor and disabled Americans too?
The Presidential Fear
I-Witness’s greatest fear was that the talking heads were going to bait Reverend Jeremiah Wright until they smoked him out. My concern wasn’t that he wouldn’t be able to handle himself, or that he couldn’t get people to see him for who he is. My fear was he--and us--getting caught up in the game of divide and conquer. It’s the game White people are masters at when it comes to Black people. The White media talking heads have done their job and they have done it well.
They have protected presidential candidate Senator Hillary Clinton during the campaign while they both work together to publicly lynch her Democratic opponent, Senator Barack Obama because they’re upset at the fact he would not come on their shows, especially Fox News and their conservative talk shows. So they’ve decided to destroy Obama.
They are giving Hillary a pass, ignoring the fact that she’s acting like a closet racist and a liar.
Though she claims to support women’s rights and equality, it was she who helped cover-up her husband Bill’s indiscretions, using taxpayer dollars to destroy these women and she knew he was guilty as hell.
Her campaign ads in Pennsylvania tying Obama to Bin Laden was a very racist act.
What Obama said in San Francisco about working class people was very true. Working class people are in denial.
They are still living in a time when White skin was privileged. Yes, it still is, but it’s White skin with money.
And what White blue-collar people don’t seem to understand, is their rich White fellow citizens in power don’t give a damn about them either because they don’t have any money.
Those in power view White blue color people the same as they do Black people and other people of color. If you don’t have money, you don’t count.
So they pit all the poor people against each other to fight over crumbs while they sit back and do what Hillary and Bill have done, which is pretend that they are one of the blue-collar workers and pimp them to death. Just look at the kind of money they have made since Bill has left office and Hillary has become a senator. They’ve made millions of dollars, yet they still pretend that they are broke and have debt.
Not to mention NAFTA. They knew how many jobs were going to be lost on that deal.
The Clintons are thugs and vindictive. Maybe Obama didn’t say it the way those in Pennsylvania needed to hear it, but it was the truth.
Americans aren’t used to having to having a honest politician. They can’t deal with his honesty.
For the remainder of this election, the White talking heads have decided that they aren’t going to talk about race because this election is "not about race!" That’s hilarious!
The real reason they don’t want to talk about race is because every ugly inhumane act that they have committed against Black people will be revealed.
America does not like looking at itself in the mirror, especially when what they see is ugly.
It’s amazing how every time race has come up as a subject, the media talking heads say, "Oh we don’t need to discuss that. That’s in the past. I didn’t do it to you. Forget about that and deal with today."
Well, they should tell Jewish people that as well. They are still being paid for the atrocities that were committed against them before and during World War II by the Germans.
Plus, the Israeli government is still tracking down Nazis. Yet, they want Black people to forget about slavery and Jim Crow. It’s hilarious.
My word to Reverend Wright is this: Don’t let them turn you against your brother. To quote former ANC Leader and South African President Nelson Mandela: "Do not let them make their enemy, your enemy."
You are the elder here, your mission, a mission that has been placed on all of us as a people since slavery, is to advance that next generation. Obama is your next generation. To Obama, I say this: You probably didn’t think people could be this vicious. Their plan is to not do anything, figuring Reverend Wright will do their dirty work. You are running for the Presidency of the United States of America. And while I know you don’t want to wallow in the mud with the snakes, you’re going to have to do just that. The difference can be how you do that.
You can’t look at Hillary as a woman who you have to treat with a certain amount of respect.
Politics is still a man’s world. You must understand that you’re not really running against Hillary. You’re running against old White rich men who do not want to relinquish power. As the saying goes, "Power concedes nothing without a demand." In the game of power, nothing is fair, even when we want it to be. So remember the first rule of fighting: "Don’t fight fair if you want to win."
John McCain
Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain is looking more and more like the late Alabama Governor George Wallace. He probably had a lot to do with many of the lynchings in that state when he wasn’t busy blocking the entrances to school houses so Black children couldn’t go to school, he was the racist of all racist.
Then he was shot (by a Milwaukeean no less, Arthur Bremmer) and suddenly he saw the error of his evil racist ways. He wanted to apologize to Black people for all he had done to them in Alabama. He wanted our forgiveness. Being the forgiving spirits that we are, we did and he died a peaceful man.
John McCain, on the other hand, is a war hero. I appreciate that. But when he came back from the war, his mind had not changed about Black people. He rejected the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday in his home state of Arizona.
He voted against many things that would have brought Black people closer to a level playing field in America.
Now he’s asking Black people for their vote. At least he has the guts to campaign in Black communities and ask us for that vote. I like that. I-Witness could have shown some of her natural sympathy to him, until he said that Dr. King would have forgiven him for his misdeeds.
It’s interesting how White folks who don’t want to talk about race and all the horrible things that happened to us in America, think it’s alright now to love Dr. King, a murdered Black man who they didn’t support.
A Black man who fought for freedom in a fiercely peaceful manner yet was killed for it. Now White folks "know him so well" that they just know what Dr. King would do and say today. I guess White men can say anything now in support of Dr. King because dead men can’t talk back.
