Kaleidoscope wants to know for Black History Month...
"Is today’s generation as good at passing down Black History as those who have come before us?"
Lenior Calvin: "Yes. We have the opportunity today to learn more about our history and to forward that information in various ways. We also hold occupations that allow us to past down our knowledge to youth and generations to come."
Sharon Graves: "Fortunately for my generation, we can remember when our great grandmothers shared stories with us of their parents being slaves and have the opportunity to be of generations who can’t fathom such notions (slavery). I think we can do a much better job."
Donna Ross: "Yes. I share my family and generational history with my sons. So that they will know that the struggles they experience today are nothing compared to what our ancestors had to endure. It is our duty to teach and share that legacy with all our children."
Terry Atwater, Sr.: "No. Because of a lack of education and the full untold truth about ancestors."
