Local Urban League Young Professional selected as new YPTV correspondent
July 29, 2010 // 0 CommentsThe National Urban League Young Professionals selected Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals’ member, Rayna Andrews; as one of two YPTV Correspondents; heading into its centennial conference celebration in Washington, D.C. July 28 – July 31.
Literally thousands of the nation’s leading business, community, and political figures, will descend upon our nation’s capital for this monumental milestone – 100 years of empowering communities and changing lives.
This new initiative will capture and report on young professionals in the Urban League Movement.
Andrews, along with Dr. Marcus Alexander, (Central Florida Urban League Young Professionals) were selected amongst numerous casting call auditions to helm this new initiative.
The new correspondents will report on the 2010/11 YP Summits as well as the 2010 Whitney M. Young Leadership Conference, and the 2011 Legislative Policy Conference for the organization.
“We are thrilled that Rayna & Dr. Marcus have joined our team in this new initiative for YPTV — and with this significant addition, we further accelerate our mission to empower our communities,” says Barton Taylor, National Urban League Young Professionals President.
