Lovely Salon in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood is donating 10% of haircut fees in September to a great cause: Milwaukee Public Schools’ ALBA school, a bilingual K3-5th grade MPS charter school on the city’s south side.
So far, the school – whose formal name is Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes – is set to earn nearly $1,000.
Lovely is also collecting supplies for the school, 96% of whose students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
Customers who donate school supplies receive 10% off Aveda product purchases.
“ALBA school appreciates Lovely Salon’s ‘lovely’ support for our students and families!” ALBA teacher Elissa Guarnero said.
Interested customers can simply contact Lovely – 2165 S. Kinnickinnic Avenue, Milwaukee 53207, (414) 482-7271 – and make an appointment to support the school.
