Brewer Wives step up to the plate!

Cecilia Gore, executive director, Brewers’ Charities (far left) poses with several wives of Milwaukee Brewer players and children during a presentation of a $20,000 check for the Next Door Foundation. The check is the result of the 50/50 raffle sponsored by the Brewer wives. Launched this year, the 50/50 raffle tickets are sold throughout the ballpark from when the gates open until the end of the 4th inning of every Brewers home game. The winning ticket will be announced at the top of the 6th inning and the winner will have until the top of the 7th inning to claim their prize. If no one claims the prize by the top of the 7th inning another ticket will be drawn and announced in the middle of the 7th. One lucky fan will take home half of the net proceeds from the day’s raffle ticket sales. The other half will go to Brewers Community Foundation in support of nonprofits that provide quality programming in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. The Next Door Foundation was the recipient of the check that was presented before the start of a recent Brewers game at Miller Park. (Photo by Harry Kemp)
