MCLD to hold Achievers Awards Dinner Dec. 14
December 8, 2011 // 0 CommentsLocal achievers who are working to improve the community will be honored as the Milwaukee Center for Leadership Development (MCLD) raises funds for programs to provide the training for our future leaders during the annual MCLD Achievers Awards dinner.
The MCLD Annual Achievers Awards dinner will be held at the JAKohl’s Education Center, located at 11111 West Liberty Dr. on December 14 at 5:00 p.m.
Melanie Holmes, VP World of Work Solutions (ManpowerGroup), will serve as the keynote speaker. In her message she will address the issues of talent shortage and talent mismatch.
MCLD is dedicated to exposing minority youth to all of their post-secondary options while developingthem socially as well as academically.
“It is already clear that there is a lack of academic preparation, but consideration must also begiven to other factors such as cultural and social obstacles, if we truly want ALL young people to succeed,” says Tamiko Jordan-Obregon, executive director of the MCLD.
The MCLD encourages the public to join in celebratingthe accomplishments of others as they raise funds to develop the future. The MCLD is building a legacy; preparing our children now, so they can lead in the future.
