MPS valedictorians, salutatorians are named

Forty MPS schools have named valedictorians and salutatorians for their 2011 graduation ceremonies. The honors go to graduating seniors with the highest and second-highest grade point averages. Valedictorians and salutatorians address the audiences at their school’s commencements. Nine MPS high schools named multiple students to the roles of valedictorian and salutatorian, because their top students were tied in grade points.
Most of these high-performers are headed to college. That is the case with Bruce Beckley, Jr., 2011 Valedictorian for Wisconsin Conservatory of Lifelong Learning. Bruce will attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison to study Political Science.
