NAACP responds to Commission’s decision reversal

It was very important for the Fire and Police Commission to reconsider its decision concerning the discharge of Officer Richard Schoen and to have taken corrective actions.
Hopefully, this will be a “first step” toward improving the frayed and fragil relations between the Commission, the Department and the Community.
Also, it is significant that the community’s voice was heard and that the Commission, as well as other officials, recognize that they serve the community.
