NDIEPIX FILMS TO RELEASE THE NINE LIVES OF MARION BARRY

Washington D.C. – Many people remember Marion Barry as the philandering drug-addled mayor of the nation’s capital, who was arrested in a Washington, D.C. hotel during an F.B.I. sting in 1990.  He’s the poster boy for corruption – a pariah.  Yet to others, Marion Barry is a folk hero, hailed as a civil rights champion, a defender of the poor and outcast.

Film directors, Dana Flor and Toby Oppenheimer, have captured his life story in the Indiepix Films “The Nine Lives of Marion Barry,” which will be available on DVD on December 7.

The Nine Lives of Marion Barry first premiered on HBO. The critically acclaimed film will be available for the first time for broad distribution via IndiePix films, Amazon.com, iTunes and most major retailers.
