New Director for SDC Head Start Yvette Dobbs has taken the position of Director of Head Start at the Social Development Commission (SDC)

Ms. Dobbs comes to SDC from Parents Plus of Wisconsin where she served most recently as the Parental Information and Resource Center Director. She oversaw the US Department of Education programming of parental involvement activities in all 426 school districts in the state. Her experience also includes work with the Milwaukee Urban League, Innovative Community Solutions, and Urban Day School.
Her education background includes degrees from Dillard University and Concordia University and being a former Head Start Graduate Fellow from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Among her professional accomplishments are being named a National Finalist for a National Head Start Bureau Fellowship.
Ms. Dobbs said she is looking forward to working with such a successful and vibrant Head Start program.
She notes she has always loved the Head Start philosophy and is excited to be involved again with the program.
