Oak Creek, Wis. – Prospective students are invited to explore Milwaukee Area Technical College’s accelerated associate degree programs at a free open house from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Oak Creek Campus, 6665 S. Howell Ave. Designed for busy, working adults, MATC’s accelerated programs meet one evening per week in eight-week sessions or are offered online. Attendees will meet with program faculty, receive detailed information about specific programs and how they will help students reach career goals, learn about four-year college transfer options and have the opportunity to apply for the Spring 2013 semester, which begins Jan. 22. The $30 application fee will be waived for individuals who apply for admission at the open house. Attendees who plan to apply for admission should bring a copy of their high school or college transcript. Credits earned at other colleges may apply to MATC associate degrees.
MATC accelerated associate degree programs include: administrative professional, business management, IT information systems security specialist, IT network specialist (also offered online), legal administrative professional, marketing management (also offered online) and supervisory management. A liberal arts and sciences associate degree designed for students who intend to transfer to a four-year college/university also is offered in an online, accelerated format.
