USAA cuts auto insurance rates by 8 percent on average in Milwaukee

Company to reduce annual premiums in Wisconsin by $2.2 million

San Antonio--As part of a move to reduce auto insurance premiums for Wisconsin drivers by $2.2 million, USAA is lowering premiums by 8 percent on average in the Milwaukee area.

While the exact reduction will vary by policyholder, USAA members can save an average of $100 per policy, per year.

USAA continues to improve productivity and then pass on savings as reduced rates that are highly competitive.

The new lower pricing is available to more than 3,000 USAA members living in the Milwaukee area and to many applicants who qualify for USAA membership--including current and former military members and their families.

"We all live on a budget, and it’s our job to keep expenses down for our members," said Joe Wehrle, president of USAA Property and Casualty Insurance Group.

"Whether you’re a private in the Army or the president of a company, our members deserve aggressively competitive prices and the best service in the industry."

In addition to auto and homeowners insurance, USAA members can benefit from other highly competitive products and services. USAA’s no-fee checking can save members up to $595 annually on typical banking fees.

Savings include automatic ATM fee refunds up to $15 a month when using other banks’ ATMs, and up to 10 free withdrawals a month at more than one million ATMs worldwide.

Members also can call the USAA Financial Advice Center at 800-898-7389 for free advice and information on topics ranging from retirement to life insurance.

Insurance premium reductions will vary by location and may not be available to all policyholders and applicants.

Average premium reductions assume no change in insured individuals, vehicles, coverages, or benefits. Premiums will change at renewal.
