It’s a scene we’ve come to expect from President Barack Obama on Election Day — pick-up hoops with his friends and staff members.
As Mary Ann Ahern of NBC Chicago points out, Obama did not play basketball the day of the 2008 New Hampshire primary — which resulted in a temporary, momentum-stopping loss to Hillary Clinton.
The president hasn’t missed a ‘game’ since.
Tuesday, as his GOP challenger Mitt Romney makes last-minute campaign stops in Cleveland and Pittsburgh, Obama held court (literally) at Chicago’s Attack Athletics gym. The facility is owned by Tim Grover, famous for training Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Jordan wasn’t in attendance, but his Hall of Fame sidekick Scottie Pippen showed up. Randy Brown, who won three titles with Jordan and Pippen from 1996-98 as a defensive stopper, also played.
