Protestors at state Capitol

Debbie Tassoul (holding picket sign), a public school teacher and Wendell J. Harris, NAACP State Education Chair, were among the thousands of protestors who converged on the state’s capitol Madison Tuesday to rally against Gov. Scott Walker and the Republican controlled legislature’s Budget Bill AB40. Tassoul told Harris she spent 30 years believing in the Republican Party. “They totally got money hungry and didn’t listen to the people. It will be a cold day in h— before I vote Republican again in this state.” Tassoul also thanked the NAACP for supporting this civil rights struggle.
