Nathan Weston: “My biggest thrill playing in the Negro League, for me, was meeting Jackie Robinson. He encouraged me and that led to me wearing a Dodgers uniform.”
Hank Presswood: “I loved the game! I learned to play baseball in the cotton fields. My biggest thrill came when I started playing in the Negro Leagues.”
Johnny Washington: “The guys taught me the real game of baseball when I started playing in the Negro Leagues.
Dennis Biddle: “A learning experience! The guys in the Negro Leagues trained me for the Major Leagues.”
