Question of the Week: "Do you feel that senior citizens are treated fairly in Milwaukee? Why or why not?"
Photos and question by Harry Kemp

Sylvester Cherry: "I think overall, seniors are treated fairly well. We are treated better here than some other cities. We have senior citizen centers, such as the Bernice and Clinton Rose Center, which is an excellent place to go and meet other seniors."

Ted Townes: "I think we are treated better here in Milwaukee than other places I have visited. In my case, I am doing better than some seniors because I have prepared myself early in life for later years. This is something that young people need to follow."

Florine Richardson: "I don’t think senior citizens are treated right because I myself can’t get Title 19. I have to pay for all my medical care."

Ella Dunbar: "I think senior citizens are treated fairly. But there is room for improvement as there is with everything else. Senior citizens are our greatest resource." |
