Question of the Week: "How can we ensure protection for our young and elderly citizens during these very cold days?"
Photos and question by Harry Kemp

Tiara Guyton: "The young should keep their skin covered and not be outside for long periods of time. The elderly should make sure their utilities are on and in working condition. If they need to go to the doctor or the store, offer them a ride so they don’t have to catch the bus."

Kimiyata Bivens: "Provide efficient blankets, coats and other clothing and assist them with transportation or run errands outside the home for them."

Cory Covington: "During these cold days have volunteers come to their house to donate space heaters, electric blankets, gloves and insulated shoes. Help those without energy assistance obtain that service. Kids should have gloves with handwarmers and hot home-cooked meals."

Bob Davis: "Make sure they (elderly and children) have good transportation to and from their destinations. Make sure the immediate needs are met, such as housing, gas, light, phone, clothing, food and medicine. Also, educate them on voter awareness."
