Photos and question by Harry Kemp

Question of the Week: "Do you feel there are enough business opportunities for Black females? Why or why not?"

Octavia McMurray: "I do feel there are enough business opportunities for African American women. I believe that African American women need to match their passion with education and then the perfect opportunity will find them at the time it is supposed to happen for them."

Charles (Butch) Walton: "Women have proven throughout time and continue to prove that there is no job made for just men. In my mind, our African American women have the intellect, motivation and endurance for any job."

John Holland: "Yes I do. But we need more women to take a chance. Get the training and then go for it."

Rosie Caradine-Lewis: "No. The average female of prime working age has a unique way of looking at work, i.e., working habits that don’t fit the few opportunities in the market today. Secondly, some Black women don’t have the capital to start their own businesses."
