Joe B. Scott (left field): “Talking to three presidents in my lifetime – Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. Also being the first Black baseball player to play at Wrigley Field.”

Johnny Washington (Left hand pitcher): “Pitching against Satchel Paige in 1951 two times. Won one, lost one.”

Hank Presswood (short stop): “Being in the Negro League was my most memorable moment, (playing in) 1948-49 with the Cleveland Buckeyes and (in) 1950-51 with the Kansans City Monarchs.”

Ollie Brantley (right hand pitcher): “Riding the team bus through the South and playing games on the weekend. Charlie Pride was my roommate. He was a knuckleball pitcher.”
