Who ever said Black people don’t read? Dr. Farrah Gray, celebrates one year on the "Essence" Magazine’s Best Seller List
New York, New York (Black-News.com)--Dr. Farrah Gray is contradicting the old adage that Black people don’t read, with one book at a time. June, 2006 marks the one year anniversary of Dr. Farrah Gray’s book "Reallionaire: Nine Steps to Being Rich from the Inside Out" being on "Essence" Magazine’s Best Seller List. Dr. Gray’s Book is the instructional memoir that chronicles Gray’s life and career, beginning as a 6-year-old entrepreneur selling hand-painted rocks on Chicago’s tough South Side, to becoming a mega-celebrity entrepreneur in his 20s with endorsement deals like The Farrah Gray MasterCard. Dr. Gray’s book, "Reallionaire" was also named as one of the top business books of 2005 by "Library Journal." In his book, he outlines his steps to success in a compelling, readable and informative style that has inspired millions of people of all ages around the world. At the end of each chapter, Gray outlines points for success, which include exercises that provide practical steps and insights about how to move forward toward financial success. "Reallionaire" gets its power from the combination of Gray’s very personal story, and the practical handbook that takes its readers on a journey toward their dreams. "Reallionaire" goes even further by challenging its readers to change their perspective, their attitudes towards themselves and what they can accomplish...no matter the circumstances. Gray helps people understand that they can use their common sense and intelligence to overcome any obstacles they may face. "Reallionaire" provides an alternative approach to success, blending entrepreneurship, social consciousness and the strength never to give up. Information about learning to "Never Fear Rejection" and "Build an All Star Mentoring Team" are part of the guidelines that can transform the lives of its readers. "Reallionaire" was nominated for NBC and Publishers Weekly’s Quill Awards in the category of "Health/Self-Improvement." His book also hit 1# on The Black Issues Book Review’s Bestseller List and based on pre-orders, it appeared on Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s Bestseller Lists two weeks before its international release. Gray’s book and his journey to succeed against the odds have become required reading and part of classroom study from elementary schools to entrepreneurship departments on college and university campuses such as Harvard University. Recently Dr. Gray was also named as one of the most influential Black men in America by the National Urban League’s "Urban Influence Magazine" and was conferred a honorary doctorate based on life experience from Allen University.
