MILWAUKEE: On Monday, June 4th, Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson will join with religious leaders from all across Milwaukee to urge the community to get out and vote on June 5. Representing hundreds of churches across Milwaukee, these local leaders have been encouraging their often underrepresented constituents to take action by voting in this special election.
At the press conferences, these faith leaders will highlight the importance of the June 5th election and lay out their concerns on the key issues facing members of their congregation and citizens of their communities.
Who: Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson; Faith-leaders representing hundreds of churches across Milwaukee. Speakers include Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Bishop C.H. McClelland (Holy Cathedral COGIC/Wisconsin Northwest jurisdiction), Pastor Kenneth Wheeler (Cross Lutheran Church), Pastor Kenneth Bonner (Free Spirit Missionary Baptist Church, President of WI Pastors’ Conference), Pastor Louis Sibley (Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church), Reverend Willie Brisco (President of MICAH), Father Dick Aiken (St. Sebastian Catholic Church), and Bishop Darrell Hines (Christian Faith Fellowship).
