Roundy’s, Milwaukee Bucks team up to give back

Pick ‘n Save joined Milwaukee Bucks players Brandon Jennings and Larry Sanders in donating and distributing Thanksgiving meals and turkeys to 150 pre-registered Milwaukee area families recently at the House of Peace, 1702 W. Walnut St., as part of its House of Peace Holiday Food Basket Program.
The program includes community partners such as Roundy’s, area businesses and organizations, as well as participating parishes and schools of the Archiocese of Milwaukee.
Pictured above presenting a gift card for $4,990 to the House of Peace are (left to right): Vivian King, director of public affairs for Roundy’s; Gerri Sheets-Howard, executive director for the House of Peace; Capuchin Friar Father Perry McDonald’s; and Connie Jones, Roundy’s Foundation administrator. The Thanksgiving dinners will include a turkey and a traditional holiday fixings including stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce and more.
