These Civil War reenactors (pictured above) participated in the 49th annual Veterans Day Parade and Day of Honor that was held Saturday downtown. The parade route ran along Wells Street from North 4th Street to West Kilbourn Avenue, ending at Veterans Park on the lakefront. A memorial service was held after the parade at the War Memorial. A Veterans Day event was also held last Friday at the VA Medical Center, 5000 W. National Ave. There was also free admission for veterans at two of the city’s most popular attractions, the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Harley-Davidson Museum. (Photo by Yvonne Kemp)
