Shaker’s World Café (422 S. 2nd Street – Milwaukee, www.milwaukeehauntedbar.com) is proud to announce their hosting of a “Chili for Charity” event starting at noon on Friday, January 14th to benefit the Milwaukee based non profit IMPACT.
At the event, guests will be able to sample delicious chili, participate in live raffles for goods & services you don’t want to live without, almost non-stop music & celebrity bartenders all while raising much needed funds for IMPACT.
IMPACT’s mission is to change lives. For good. Among its many programs, IMPACT provides the 2-1-1 service for the Milwaukee area & surrounding communities. The free, 24-hour hotline offers confidential information & referral to nearly 4,000 family, health & social service resources. Assessing the needs of individuals & efficiently connecting them with appropriate resources helps people regain stability & sustain their families when times get tough.
Since 1986, Shakers has been Milwaukee’s original Cigar Bar offering outstanding food, specialty drinks & premium cigars. Shaker’s Chef & Owner, Robert Weiss has graciously designated IMPACT as the restaurant’s charity of choice for 2011.
For further information, please contact Vickie Boneck, Director of Marketing & Communication of IMPACT at (414) 256-4808 or go to www.impactinc.org .
